The Longleaf Academy is committed to the expansion and achievement of your child’s academic growth. Our primary goal is for our students to develop necessary skills and strategies that will benefit them throughout their college years. Students will be considered for admissions bases upon the criteria below:
a. Based upon the results of this evaluation, the candidate has a full-scale I.Q. of 89 or higher and a verbal I.Q. that falls between 85-100 or higher.
b. Based upon the results of this evaluation, the candidate’s standardized achievement battery scores confirm a significant discrepancies of at least 10 points or more in reading, written expression, or math.
a. If the candidate is accepted based upon these criteria, the student must have a psycho-educational evaluation within 6-months of acceptance.
a. The candidate is provided with resource services in his/her current public school;
b. The candidate is currently enrolled or was enrolled in a special reading program provided by the school.
